Looks like the British have realized what a pain in the ass arse it is to have people writing checks cheques in the checkout line.

Maybe as the older generations die off, the US can do something that sensible. Then again...

The cheque stopped being taken for more than just time reasons. What about people who write them knowing they're going to bounce?

Then again, over here. Debit and credit cards are commonplace. I even see kids (maybe about 10~12 or so) paying with a debit card these days.

I could never work Customer Service or some sort of Tech help.
It's not too bad unless they're deliberately trying to play you into an attempt to scam.

Another bother at work is those annoying locking boxes (you know, used for stuff like flash drives, small electronics, perfumes, nicotine gum, whatever), do they use anything similar across the pond?

Those are annoying. I don't like having to track down an employee whenever I want to buy something.

Speaking of bouncing checks, for some reason my dad meet someone at work who was dense enough to believe that if your check doesn't literally bounce against a wall or floor that it should be valid. Or something else as stupid. :o

I missed the activity due to seeing The Hobbit 2: Electric Pikachu Boogaloo... ah well.

The locking boxes are annoying but not nearly as annoying as locked cabinets, where I have to try to explain what I want from the box without having something to carry :P

Argh, I hate those. "Yeah, I want the headphones. No, the Brand Q ones...on the bottom shelf...that cost $10.99..."

I feel like a fool.

The trick there is to state the product you want in the most explicit form you can.

Pretty much a "I would like the " is enough.

If they still get it wrong, they they look like an idiot.

And in the end, my card returned into The Void. :P
And my card is unique so you'll have to find a way to return me to deck.

Scrydan as a card... spews post tokens all over the board, then returns only after an indefinite amount of turns no less than 20? :P

Better than the Nicole card which causes you to redraw your hand in exchange for making your opponent discard their hand. >_>

Well if it was "you lose the game immediately" like I originally wanted, no one would have it in their decks :P

Still, you murder the card-hoarder type of decks.

Not quite, but I am suggesting you're a rarity.
