I know a lot of people who call it pop.

Granted, I refer to them as fizzy drinks. It doesn't alienate those who only know it as soda/carbonated drinks/somethingtranslatedliterallyfromsomeeuropeanlanguage

I personally call it pop just because I like the sound of saying "pop". Not only that but Soda reminds me more of Baking Soda than carbon drink. Plus after all usually stuff is named after the sound they make. :P

Hee hee, I remember that site. Although it looked different back in the day.

The county I currently live in seems to be about evenly split between "pop" and "soda"...which is about how it is in real life. People in Seattle come from all over the country and other countries, and they tend to bring whatever word they used with them.

Edit: oops, was looking at the wrong county. Mine is more firmly pop, but with a decent amount of soda.
