Hello Kafuka peeps, and all the ships at sea (which you'll have to tell me where that sea is)

I would like to announce that we're having a little bit of a "contest" for fun!

It's really simple make a Halloween layout. It can be a Halloween variant of your current layout, or create a whole new one! When you have it ready just make sure to post in this thread "I'm Entering" and we'll take it from there.

KP and I will be co-judging the contest. We will pick what we feel is the top three creatively constructed layouts and award first, second, and third place.

First place will receive a badge, 10000 Coins, and 3 Frog Coins!
Second Place will receive a much less shiny badge, 5000 Coins, and 1 Frog Coin
Third Place will receive 2000 Coins, and 1 Frog Coin.

Feel free to have fun with this! Anything is on the table except explicit sexual, anything like real gore (If you want to do one on Al Gore I'll make an exception).

Any questions you may have you ask in the thread as well. Just remember to enter you need to have one post with "I'm Entering" to be officially counted.

Deadline is Monday October 27th at 6PM ET (IE: KCS Time). Winners will be announced Oct 31st.

You might want to change your post. Having a "completion" for fun doesn't make much sense.

But yeah this sounds fun. I might take part if I suddenly get better at CSS in that timeframe but it's unlikely

I've not found the right word. I was with 'contest' for a while... Let's go back to that as you are indeed right it has more of a serious tone to it. I don't think that works either perfectly either.. (Life isn't perfect anyway! lol)

No, as in the word "completion" in that context doesn't make sense. Completion meaning having completed something. Competition does make sense.

I like the way "contest" sounds anyway. It wasn't just what you said. I did notice the grammar/incorrect word issue when you pointed it out. This was my own indecisiveness in play.

We don't want this to go to Win-boo-moo? That's no fun. We even have shiny badges, and those coins that make you wonder why they don't do anything. That's special stuff my friends! Come on. I'll give you suggestions:

1. Find a/your character in a Halloween costume and just swap it out.
2. Change your theme's colors to some kinda of Halloween scheme.
3. Avatar. The easiest thing to swap out like toast in a toaster!
4. Phanto will get you in your dreams. Use that as motivation
5. There could be candy! (Warning: Don't take candy or balloons from random people.)

Even if those suggestions don't help to stir an idea.. you can always get a can of photoshop and just draw a black hat and call it a day! (DO IT.. seriously that would be awesome!)

Anything trigger an idea? Make it, post it here! If Epele gets all the goodies you're going to feel awfully silly. ;D
