There's a higher risk for depression when you're going through puberty (or when you're a teenager in general). It might just seem weird because we are depressed for different reasons.

Imagine being told at around 1AM that they'd see you in the MRI room around 2AM, and then not hearing anything from anyone until well after 6AM. Not fun. >_>

Once you're so tired you cannot keep your eyes, one can sleep through anything such as pain. However, it's annoying when you're tired like at school so then during class you're half-asleep and then you wake up and keep on trying to stay awake.

But yeah, it's nice when I can ignore pain and just fall asleep.

Sometimes I can tolerate pain, sometimes I can't. Either way, I can definitely tolerate pain much more than I ever could when I was very young. On a side note, black coffee used to taste very bitter to me when I was very young and now I like the taste.
