Well, taking too much of something will build tolerance. Caffeine doesn't have a diuretic effect on me since I built tolerance to it. ____________________ Sunshine Realm Welcome to Aqmlm's, the only board with Al-Aq'mlmistrators! |

Posted by SquiddyThe thing is, I barely had painkillers in the past. And Ibuprofen? First time I took it, I had no effect whatsoever from it. The world could always use more heroes! |

Do you guys have naproxen or diclofenac over the counter? (here in the USA, the former is OTC but the latter is prescription only) Paracetamol is pretty much OTC everywhere, same with ibuprofen "Miracles happen, when you believe..."

Ha, Spring was on either March 20 or March 21 and it's still around 30 degrees F. ____________________ Sunshine Realm Welcome to Aqmlm's, the only board with Al-Aq'mlmistrators! |

Sadly, it looks like we're not going to hit 60 degrees before the end of the month this year "Miracles happen, when you believe..."

When I read 60 degrees. I tend to think in Celsius straight away.. and was all like "Well, duh. It's not gonna hit 60°C!"..
Then I realised it was in those silly °F units which still make no sense to me. The world could always use more heroes! |

♥8598 ✿4711 ★53 Fahrenheit is the superior temperature system for reasons that are totally not because it was the system I was raised in and I have no mental aptitude for celsius on Earthlike temperatures.
Also, Boston will never see the spring again. It may see summer, though. |

At least Fahrenheit makes as much sense as Celsius and Kelvin. The English system for length such as inches, feet, yards, and miles makes no sense when compared to the Metric System. ____________________ Sunshine Realm Welcome to Aqmlm's, the only board with Al-Aq'mlmistrators! |

Last year, it was around 28 Degrees Celsius, on 25 March, so it felt like Summer.
This year, same Day, it won't be any warmer than 8 Degrees Celsius, so it'll feel like Winter. The highest Temperature we had in 2015, was 17 Degrees Celsius, which was awesome! If I might trust the Forecasts (which I don't trust, because the Weather here is to unpredictable), Spring Temperatures will return, this Saturday...with a lot of Rain. |

Posted by SquiddyA lot of people complain about Fahrenheit. But it's pretty simple: -0 is the freezing point of brine, as opposed to pure water. Which is why 32 is the freezing point of water. -There's a 180 degree gap between water as solid and water as a gas. You know, making half of a full circle in terms of phases. Math! Also, science! |

But still, why bothering to use Fahrenheit and US Units, while everyone else uses Celsius and Metrics? |

♥8600 ✿4711 ★53 Posted by MKGirlism Off-line, it's very rare for me living in the US to come across someone who doesn't know Fahrenheit or US units to at least the basic, every-day level, and I was raised with customary units so I have a subconscious understanding of them I don't have for metric units, so there's no reason to use anything else. I imagine if there was any effort to make the change there's be only a limited "painful" period of getting used to things, but for day-to-day use why bother? On a level where interoperability matters and there's a risk of confusion, metric is rapidly becoming dominant anyway. (to prevent another crashed Mars orbiter ) |
