Great! They'll pay you 4 dollars!

I use one of the two ISPs in this country. They're slow (4mbps), but fairly reliable so I can't complain too much - we usually only have downtime around once a month, or less.

You think 4 Mbps is slow? My connection's only 1.5 Mbps.
..... welp. That's ridiculous.

I was spoiled by living in Spain (where we had 10mbps), so this was... a bit of a downgrade. It seems like a ton of people (in both the US and Europe) have much faster cable/DSL internet that leaves ours in the dust.

Then again... we only got 4mbps just over a year ago - we had 1mbps for three years, which finally got upgraded to 2mbps in February 2012 and then to 4mbps in November 2012.

I'd have expected much better from Seattle though, ffs :<

1.5 Mbps is quite nice for browsing.

Although, that shared would be kinda painful.

It's tolerable for browsing, but... yeah. Downloads and anything bandwidth intensive are a pain in the ass.

And I have to share this connection, which limits things a bit more :|

It's sad that I can often get faster download speeds from my phone's HSPA+ (while connecting to a network in a different country) than I can from my home connection. If it wasn't for my low bandwidth cap, I'd use it more.

So, as for the thread linked in the title, do you have an answer to the question?

(Making sure this post is incomprehensible when the title is changed again :P)

Nope.

It shall remain forever a mystery~

Definitely not!

Does there exist a song that could be played for 1000 hours that wouldn't drive you mad?
I'm not sure. There's songs I like, but... probably even the most amazing song ever would start to drive me mad after a few hours.

Then again, I'm stubborn, so I might stick with it just to prove you wrong. :D Even if it's an awful song.

So have you ever actually heard the song from the title link? :P
.... Crap. You caught me there.

>_>

Truth is, I have headphones (they came with my phone) which I use occasionally to listen to music/videos. It's just inconvenient to do so because the cable is too short to plug them into my computer. And I can only really do it when I'm home alone because I live with people who will bug me about what I'm listening to, and/or get annoyed because I can't hear them and respond to inane comments instantly. >.>

What is the last game you've played?

Starbound, last night. I'm pretty awful at it though.

Other than that, I played through NightSky the other day on normal mode - it was pretty fun - and I've also been playing Burnout Paradise on occasion.

I played lots of Starbound too! Although their recent change made it fucking difficult to survive against those damn birds/flying aliens. Well it is Beta....haha
I only just got it the other night, and I haven't played it much at all yet - probably something like 3 hours total at this point - so I'm still getting used to everything.

The birds sent me into a rage last night because I was trying out multiplayer for the first time and I couldn't accomplish anything...I kept dying as soon as I tried to venture away from the spawn point on the planet. I wanted to try and craft armour but I couldn't actually find any materials to use!

Someone told me the game is pretty unbalanced right now and that I should wait until it improves... so I'm probably going to do that for now.

What is the first game track you can think of when I ask you to find the best battle theme? (RPG or combat wise)
This one's easy. The Paper Mario (N64) battle theme :D

I need to play through PM again some day, and finish TTYD as well...

Yeah, I have nearly 50 hours of Starbound logged so far. And it has changed a lot recently due to a patch or two. It might be best to wait it out another few patches so it becomes more balanced. hehe

Although I might just rough it out because my Avian is too crazy to stop, even under threat of a character wipe...he'll just be reborn!

What is one cool feature you like that Starbound features? I personally like how you can mine more than one tile at once and shift switches it to single block mode. :3
Hm ... I'm not sure if I've played it enough to decide on a specific feature yet. There's a ton of stuff I haven't tried at all.

There's two things in particular I quite like, though I'm not sure if these would be considered features:

- Ridiculously high jump heights
- Not losing your items upon dying

They released a new patch that fixed a lot of those annoying issues apparently! ^_^
Perhaps I'll have to try it again, then-- I haven't played the game at all today.

The most frustrating thing about Starbound is that they compiled the Windows and Linux binaries in debug mode, making them ridiculously huge. Each game patch is around a 560mb download when it could be a tiny fraction of that. (And this takes me ~45 minutes to download.)

In fact, the Windows and Linux binaries make up 2GB of the 3GB total space that the game uses. That's gotta be some kind of record.

If you could combine 3 different games into one awesome game, which ones would fit together flawlessly, have traits you'd pluck in or some you'd pluck out, and overall seem awesome to combine?
OK, this one is... extremely difficult for me to answer. I'm very picky in what games I actually enjoy, and I can't really think of which genre I'd choose three games from. Meh.

Take this for example- I generally don't like RPGs, and there's very few I've actually managed to play for very long, but one of my favourite games ever (Paper Mario) is a RPG. How does that work? >_>

I usually go to sleep around 8-11am, and wake up around 3-6pm.

Sometimes, if it starts getting really bad I just won't sleep at all and I'll then go to bed at around 11-2am the next day. This usually fixes it for a day or so but I just end up screwing it up again very quickly afterwards >.>

And living in Europe really doesn't help: all the fun stuff on the internet happens during the late night/early morning. Bluh.

I took it...

Introverted (I) 57.14% Extroverted (E) 42.86%
Sensing (S) 58.33% Intuitive (N) 41.67%
Feeling (F) 56.25% Thinking (T) 43.75%
Perceiving (P) 52.94% Judging (J) 47.06%

ISFP - "Artist". Interested in the fine arts. expression primarily through action or art form. The senses are keener than in other types. 8.8% of total population.

This is rather ironic given that I'm absolutely abysmal at art.

Of course, I kind of think that this might be skewed a bit.. note that the percentages are all fairly close to the midpoint- especially for P/J.

Also, a lot of the questions just seemed ridiculously vague to me and I seriously had no idea what to answer ._.;;

Huh, well, time for something easier. What game could you say has been the worst experience for you in your opinion?
Usually I stop playing games before I actually get to that point >_> But... let me see what I can come up with.

World of Warcraft is possibly the one game I've had a decent amount of experience with that I can honestly say was a complete and utter waste of time.

Back in 2011, I played for a couple of months on a private server (with x3 exp, to boot, meaning that I would probably have found the real game even more grindy and frustrating). I expected it to be amazingly epic, given that it's the biggest MMORPG that everyone knows about and all that. Nope.

Yes, the world is gigantic. It's also extremely empty. And it's basically the same game copy and pasted 12 times for however many different races there are, with texture and name changes. That means that there's basically nothing to do outside of the zones your character's race is expected to progress through, because all the quests and mobs are either too low-level or too high-level for you. And they're pretty much the same thing you've already done.

After a while, I got bored of my first character, made a new one with one of the Horde races - I forget which - and played for a bit more, before I realised the game wasn't really any different from what I had already done.

And the quests are extremely repetitive and boring, anyhow - every single one is just a bunch of "kill $number of $mob" or "get $number of $mob_drop" or "take $item to $npc" mini-quests strung together.

What's so amazing about this game? I don't get it. I seriously don't.

What inspired your new username?
Well... I wasn't all that happy with my previous username - even though I had been using it for almost 7 years - because I felt like it didn't really fit me well any more, and irked me for a few dumb reasons (people calling me Tree, it looking awkward to me in lowercase, me not even liking the Pokemon it's based off), so I spent a while trying to think of something new to use.

I wanted something with "fox" in it because I'm a fox (and I like the sound of "x" at the end of a name), and aside from that, I just wanted... something more cutesy.

So I came up with Ninjifox on a whim while walking around, originally disregarded it, but I couldn't come up with anything better and it grew on me over the next few days.

Ninji is kind of a reference to DDP/SMB2, but I actually didn't realise that until I had already thought of the name. But then I figured "hey, I like Mario, I'll go with it". And yeah, here I am now.

Have you ever been close to a wild fox?

Nope, they're pretty much non-existent down here :(

I hear there's lots of wild animals like foxes and squirrels in other parts of the world, but... here all we have is seagulls, pigeons and cats. And of course, the famous apes. Boring.
