So I figured I'd look here, knowing the rest of the board is kinda slow, but not thinking it'd be that slow.

Poor board, needs some activity! Hey Acmlm.

I remember back in the day the board had no admin panel. You know, no easy way to make forums, etc. I assume all that's been done now?

Where there was no admin panel, there's a panel for EVERYTHING when 2.6 is released. Even ranks.php has the backend to add ranks! There's been a few panels made for board2 but they aren't perfect. A few devs added a few more but there could be more. So this is where I come in.
I am mainly in charge of creating: badges panel, board configuration panel, RPG Panel & RPG Objects Panel (There's a difference, once mainly deals with players and the other objects), Themes panel, improved forum editor, possibly a FAQ editor, and maybe a board editor. There's some I am probably forgetting but I have a lot on my plate.

There's already a group and permission editor and a few misc others but I may tweak a few things. The board is so powerful that you don't need to edit any code to make it work in most cases. You just simply add/remove/edit a permission for a certain group. That's the goal of Emuz, me, and the rest of the devs. Although right now I am the main active dev working. And it is easier that way since I'm cleaning up code.
So in other words, it's finally almost to a point of release where it'll work like PHPBB or similar stuff out-of-the-box with no additional PMA or other interface(s) needed for managing anything.

I would say "It's about time" but I know that the primary goal of the board has never really been about distribution. It's just nice that others who are in this community who really like the software will finally be able to use it on their own.

Just a suggestion from my POV as an "Oldbie" with other board & CMS experience:

TinyMCE for posts (at least as an option selectable for each user).

Blaming the death of Hostess on the union is like blaming the death of GM or Chrysler pre-bailout on the UAW / CAW.

Since 2002, they've had 6 CEOs - none turned the company around. In 2004 they declared bankruptcy, and the union then agreed to huge concessions. The company saved $110 million from this but didn't put a dime back into their business. They haven't turned a profit in ages. Since 2004 they've closed 21 factories and killed thousands of jobs.

No concession by the union would have had the company remain alive another 5 years. And even 5 would have been unlikely. An acquisition of its top brands by a real company that knows how to turn a profit (ex: Kraft) would be their only saving grace, and has been the case since they were bought by a private equity firm. Private equity firms rarely if ever actually turn companies around (think Bain Capital).

I'd rather not dig through tons of posts to find this answer:
What the heck is the timezone this is based off of? Obviously not a US one, since it's still November 19 here.
