Anything unhealthy enough for me living past 30 being a slim chance. ;)

Freeciv (ok it's not a offical game but it counts) and Civilization IV. Civilization V was improved by gods and kings but still suffers from a lot of problems that is turning off a lot of longtime fans, such as how the game solves overly fast expansion (Civ IV had a good enough solution on this, the V solution just feels broken). Oh yeah, Civ V not having mods in multiplayer was actually a negative factor for a lot of people as well.

People seem to be wanting a economy like Civ IV but combat like Civ V for the next game.

Freeciv is basically just Civilization II rebalanced for multiplayer and is both free and gratis.

So what difficulties do people play on? I dabble on Emporer (Difficulty 6 out of 8) on Civ V and Monarch on Civiliation IV (6 out of 9). Civ IV is generally the harder game though, as the Civ V AI is completely incapable of using the one unit per tile limitation effectively.

We just need enough interest for it. The last time I tried i only kept interest for a little bit before people got bored.

I'm not sure what is a good angle to it either. I personally like to put in a lot NewGRF's and mods since I think the game is too basic otherwise.

Graphics Resource File. It's how the orginal game stores it's graphics.

NewGRF is a unoffical variant that was invented for TTDPatch but is used by OpenTTD as well to allow modification of behavior of various aspects of the game rather than just replacing graphics. TTDPatch is basically dead now though, especially with OpenTTD having nearly all features and none of the limitations (for one you can load as many train sets you want now, but it's recomended to keep to sets that works together).

This might be helpful.

Freeciv mostly shines in it's multiplayer. You get around it's UI quirks after playing it for a bit.

The AI in Freeciv is just better than in the commercial civ games which is why it's so hard. They don't cheat at all though. >_>

The Japanese have some odd obsession with Moai, and I yet have to see a good explanation why. The original game is very quirky, with music that sounds like it was straight out of some tv show.

Curious if you could replace the music too wit something more Mario'ish.

So who would be interested if I got this going again? And when? And how? I probably need at least another trustworthy user with rcon access too.

Grind normally until 124 +99.9%, kill gradually weaker enemies until a poring is enough ... but I liked to use something different for each character as well >_>
Next time I get started on a Ragnarok Online server I'd try this out.

My name actually originates from one of those silly gender swapping times. Think Imajin at the time made a mention of Ailuros or something.

Sonic is a disgrace and I'm not talking about the 90's sonic but the Sonic in the last decade. They at least recovered some of his reputation with Sonic Generations (although it still contains the horribad voice acting). There is nothing wrong with gimmicks if it's done well, but the problem is that Sonic Team is actually really awful at making their gimmicks work.

Even if Mario is in a lot of spinoffs, his main games are still very top notch (like the Super Mario Galaxy series). Compared to the flops that is most sonic games in the last decade.

What about settings? I find stock vehicles absolutly dull, but that's just me. Plus I want to attract as many people as possible.

Java 7 is neat in a lot of ways API wise, like easier ways to do multi-threading, but you don't see Java programs requiring it anytime soon. I still compile for Java 1.6 (aka Java 6) despite having Java 7 installed.

Yeah, Java and Flash are breeding grounds for viruses and other malware >_> I'd definitely recommend NoScript for Firefox/Chrome if you haven't already installed it... I keep both NoScript and AdBlock around to try to prevent drive-by attacks (my last one was back in 2004 on Windows 98, some 8 years ago...)
Java historically hadn't gotten many exploits over the years, this recent zero day exploit is fairly peculiar since Java have a reputation of being sandboxed quite well. There been plenty of Javascript exploits over the years though (but they tend to be browser spefic). Flash do have a infamously bad security record however.

Anyway the most likely reason so many programs is showing up as malware is possible due to the malware being the kind that hooks into other programs. I gotten that kind of malware before and it was a bitch to remove.

Edit: Did you scan with a alternative program like Malwarebytes Anti-Malware? (Which happens to be my favorite anti-malware program as it's free for non-commercial use and dosen't nag you).

SNES:
D-pad - Arrow keys
Y -> Z
B -> X
A -> C
X -> V
L -> A
R -> S
Select -> Shift?
Start -> Enter
NES:
About the same, but B is on A, and A is on S.

Although I use a x-box 360 gamepad now. But I still use keybindings when I'm just testing something quick and switching between keyboard and gamepad is too much of a hassle (my desk isn't that big so I can't just put it down).

For the gamepad I just bind everything about the same as on the real console. Most notable is that I use the big left shoulderpad for Z on N64 (and the smaller ones for L and R) as that's the closest to N64 in feel (I wind up squeezing the binded Z button with the same finger as on the real N64, just in a different orientation). I used to have a keybinding for N64, but I forgot it... and as well I did, as N64 gameplay on keyboard is a pain.

Yup, my whole computer turned sluggish as it was probably busy swapping or something. And since it was a 32 bit program it couldn't use more than 2 GB itself.

As a stupid kid I burned myself on a cigarette lighter.

And then during college I got myself a light frostbite while cleaning out my icy freezer. It had a tendancy to get clogged with ice. :|
