I remember some free webhosting providers would also only block images from being hotlinked, but would stupidly only check the file extension so you could still host a image as a txt file and have it work.

Those were the early crappy days I suppose.

Definitely drawing. I would love to get better at making at least simple cartoony doodles or whatever for when the occasion arises. Now, I just need to stop trying to do so many different things at once.

Actually the birthday is showing up on the wrong day on the test board. As my birthday is actually on the June 6th. Or I set it wrong originally. So it's happy early birthday technically. Nevertheless, so many thanks everyone!

...actually on a second look I see that my birthday is set on the fourth for some reason. That's fixed now. Whenever I set it wrong originally or if it's a side effect of me setting the date while the board was first released, I don't know.

I own all three Mass Effect games.

The 3DS just had a slow start, but it still was way better than it's competition and as soon it's price became more competitive (it wasn't as overpriced anymore), it started to sell well.

The naming is pretty bad too. There was way too much confusion amongst not so game savy people who were buying consoles, which was a pretty huge part of why Wii succeeded as it did. A lot of people got mistaken into thinking Wii U was a console accessory rather than a successor. Maybe I grab a Wii U if it starts selling for even cheaper but meh, I'm mostly PC gaming nowadays. :/

Gameboy had a crazy long lifetime, in those 25 years it was probably relevant for at least 13 years with games still being released (a lot of games that were marked for GBC still worked with the orginal GB). I actually went straight from a fat brick GB to a GBA SP as I never saw a reason to get a GBC.

Guess it wasn't a exaggeration. Welp. Interestingly, due to where they are buried the carts are supposedly well preserved. Not much in terms of humidity messing them up etc.

Oh thanks all! Yeah I been really busy, but from the looks of it it's turning into a real job soon! It keeps making me busy though, but after unemployment it's a nice change of pace!

It's a smaller software company using a rather obscure software programming language (there is hardly anything on the net about it so i don't want to mention it, and it orginates from the mainframe era of computing), as a backend. But they got a lot of customers, so it's a legacy they keep running and actually is expanding! They are steadily making things more Java-based, and thats where I come in.

Hey, that sounds fun. I'd like to get into programming too, but I had no luck finding a job in that business... it seems they prefer those nerds who could already program at an age of 5 and know like three languages by the time they leave school. It's depressing.

I once had an internship where they noticed just how good I would be as a programmer. I just need to find a company willing to take me...

Getting your foot in is the hardest part with getting a programmer position. What surprises me is that they rarely ask for grades or exam certification, they seem to just assume i tell the truth when i was searching for jobs and didn't even ask for it. Experience seems more valuable amongst employees. I quickly proved my depth of knowledge, so they hadn't even bothered to ask for it haha.

Most people seem to do less of the personal projects when they are hired. So not really, I just wind up using up my free time for gaming.

Wii U sales increased massivly with the release of Mario Kart 8. Curious how a new Smash Bros would affect sales too.

Wii U have been "too few games to be worth it" but now that's starting to slowly change. I'm not intrested in getting other consoles, cuz their titles are usually on PC and plays better on PC.
