♥2641 ✿4735 ★68 I haven't seen too much of an issue for having adblock enabled... the occasional site doesn't work (Twitter was telling me to advertise there and I was amused by it, but when I clicked their link it told me I had to disable adblock so I didn't bother) but nothing I'd consider essential...
Not surprised about the streaming sites- that's the whole business model. But yeah, the internet has really become a lot less usable... |

♥2642 ✿4735 ★68 Posted by Ijah It's a vicious cycle- nobody clicks on the ads, so they have to add more |

♥2643 ✿4735 ★68 Posted by GreyMaria I guess I set myself up for this with the whole "princess darkness" thing, but that's an oversimplification- one can be just as apocalyptic with sufficient brightness! Which is to say, I'll just turn up the lights until his eyes give out Posted by Ijah Yeah... it's a lot harder for me to read something if I know it's going to reach a certain point and just don't know when, as I'm going to be constantly on edge waiting for it. |

♥2646 ✿4735 ★68 I'm always surprised when people say a bright layout is such an issue- do people like have their computers on maximum brightness in a dark room or something?
Also I initially wrote "computers" as "laptops" since I forget people still use desktops |

♥2647 ✿4735 ★68 Posted by TrapsterPosted by Nicole Well, sure, but I don't do anything performance intensive. It's just that I forget that just because laptops work well for my needs and I benefit from their physical characteristics, doesn't mean that's the case for everyone. (I'm not trying to be all "laptops uber alles, get rid of your outdated crap" here but I guess I kind of came off that way) |

♥2648 ✿4735 ★68 Posted by GreyMariaPosted by TrapsterMy ass.Posted by NicoleA laptop can never get the same kind of performance as a real monster computer. Eh, a desktop (especially a monster) will always be able to handle bigger power supplies and more cooling than a laptop... so it kind of makes sense. Of course there are those giant "gaming laptops" I suppose, but I feel like if you're going to go with a laptop that you can't carry you might as well just get a desktop at that point. (Though I'm sure there are people they make sense for) |

♥2651 ✿4735 ★68 Posted by GywallPosted by LilianaTry watching a video which has 2 million or more views. Those are the most likely ones. Adblock Plus on Firefox gets rid of ads very cleanly on YouTube Though I remember when I used Safari I don't believe it's adblock worked there- I'm not sure what the Firefox one does differently. |

♥2655 ✿4735 ★68 Weather here has reached the low 50's. It was cloudy and looked like it was going to rain yesterday but it didn't, and today the skies are clear.
Compared to the low 40's/high 30's, I'll take it... |

♥2658 ✿4735 ★68 Posted by Trapster Even when they're threatening the world, North Korea is impossible to take seriously with lines like "They should clearly know that in the era of Marshal Kim Jong Un, the greatest-ever commander, all things are different from what they used to be in the past." |

♥2659 ✿4735 ★68 Posted by GreyMaria I don't actually know which types of birds you can keep as pets... (other than parrots) honestly I've never really thought about having a pet bird. (Since I'm such a cat person I'd be worried that the cat and bird wouldn't get along, and that can end poorly) Maybe a canary? |

♥2660 ✿4735 ★68 Posted by Gywall I would never use my pets in such a way, that's cruel to the poor parrot to abandon him/her to the "justice" teams like that! Still evil. |
