I saw the Marathon while it was passing through Brighton/Brookline, but didn't go downtown... my heart goes out to the victims, it's such a senseless tragedy.

I've been following the news, but there doesn't seem to be all that definitive information for now.

so Nicole did you hear about that bombing in Boston Marathon? what do you think of it?

I have been spending most of today freaking out about it, actually... it's really unnerving, and a massive tragedy for everyone involved... I just hope all of my friends and family in the city are okay and none are among the victims...

I could easily have gone down to the Back Bay today... I only didn't because I was worried about the crowds...

I don't really consider it material for the Craziness Domain 二番: Boo?, though.

What kind of cake do you prefer?

Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting is my "traditional" favorite. (and my traditional birthday cake, haha) Other cakes with various frostings are also good. (Is "frostings" not a word? How am I supposed to pluralize it? It's a word now, anyway)

Last numbers I saw were 3 dead and ~170 wounded. (many of the wounded very serious, the bomb seems to have been designed to cause as much damage as possible with shrapnel...)

I don't know how you can say whether it was a terrorist or not... (I would generally say anyone who would bomb a civilian event like this must be doing so to cause terror, but as far I know we really don't know anything yet)
