♥7964 ✿4735 ★68 Posted by SquidEmpress If they're subject to Earth's gravity, then you could fall off them despite the one-sidedness... we need Star Trek-type gravity plating for this, I think. Note well: I initially typoed gravity as gravy Posted by skyluigi Are you a one-sided cat? The concept of "sides" with regards to biological lifeforms (as opposed to mathematical constructs) seems ill-defined. |

♥7965 ✿4735 ★68 Posted by SquidEmpress Of all the major forces, gravity seems to be the most poorly understood by modern physics, and thus the most likely to have holes poked in it to find unforeseen solutions to problems. So... maybe? |

♥7967 ✿4735 ★68 Posted by SquidEmpress There are 120 Shine Sprites to power Isle Delfino, whereas there are 120-150 Power Stars to power the Mushroom Castle, which I would assume has lower power requirements than an entire island... (as the Isle has the entire Pianta species, but the castle just has a few Toads, who can fade into nonexistence to save energy) Therefore I would at least expect the Shine Sprite to carry a higher amount of energy. But I'm not sure I have very much real-world comparison... (and a chemical energy would require some sort of change of state) |

♥7969 ✿4735 ★68 Posted by SquidEmpress Hm, heat given off by radioactivity would be a feasible explanation for why Bowser's Castle is perpetually surrounded by lava; it is a work of fiction so getting power from radiation mutations (rather than the power of cancer) is feasible too... So it's definitely possible that Bowser has access to the materials needed for a nuclear bomb. However, Bowser's technology doesn't really appear to have progressed past early 20th-century level at best, and it's hard to imagine the Magikoopas figuring out nuclear physics... So I'm not sure I'd agree he's likely to have nukes. Posted by SquidEmpress The issue is that Bowser wants to take over the Mushroom Kingdom and its resources for his own uses; therefore, using a nuclear weapon would destroy the very thing he's trying to steal. (and killing the Princess would probably make him sad) So I would have to say it's unlikely except in the most desperate circumstances; for example, if Tatanga showed up to destroy the world. |

♥7979 ✿4735 ★68 Bam.
And from watching the keynote, I have no idea why I would ever want this. It actually kind of stuns me to that degree- usually Apple products have something I find desirable, even if it isn't enough to justify the price. |
