Hello everyone,

First off I would like you to congratulate @Nicole in a promotion to Full Moderator! I made the decision to add her to staff to help cover the afternoon, while giving a fresh perspective to our staff. Why not local moderator you ask? Well on a board like this Local Moderators really don't work. Local Moderators will be reserved for hosted forums form now on until we grow to a point where we need it. Also I will be asking Nicole to do a few things in a near future that will be easier if done as a member of staff.

Second off due to the fact that I won't be as active this month I have appointed @Gywall to a temp Administrator position to cover the (from my perspective) early morning time frame, and allow one addition person who can handle spam bots if we get them.. His term will end on 8/1/2012. Until such time he will be returned to Full Moderator in accordance with the new policy on Local Moderators.
Please congratulate him!

Also DJ Bouche as stepped down to a Developer position. He's just doesn't have the time to really be an admin for the board, and would just like to work on the code.
His slot will be open until at least the end of @Gywall's term.

I changed quite a bit of things. So much the version is actually 2.6. But many of you knew that already.

I updated this list a bit to reflect changes I know I've done relating this list. We're quite on our way for 2.6!

I figured I should copy-pasta my short term roadmap I have in mind for ABII's code base post 2.5.2.

So to reach 2.6, I will setup a similar situation to last time. However it's early to check often.

Criteria 1: Any remaining Legacy ABI features not currently ported and Key bugfixes/features

This will expand as we go. It will start with the unfinished ones from 2.5.1. I've also added to the list the topics that we've discussed implementing.

Criteria 2: Functional Implementation of Acmlm's RPG Battle System

Sometime in February Acmlm provided me with the code for his SDL client that was meant to be a part of the board's RPG system. The code is in C and should compile for every major platform. I know little about it myself, but from what I gathered it has the support for a chatroom powered by the board. We'll have to make some changes board side as well. For example the RPG stats will need to track any damage member too and reflect it in the RPG stats. For the short time Kafuka would have it exclusively it would actually be something that could draw people to the board. This one is a large ticket item since we would have discuss, and we would basically have to build a game from almost scratch.

The goal is to reach 2.6 by very early Feb. We will preform off site testing on @Scrydan's test board. We will than migrate it over to Kafuka. After that the goals will be updated and we will work on polishing administrative features, the installer, documentation, adding important smaller features, and preparing for the public source release. 2.6.1 will be the first version on public git (github or bitbucket.. which ever we end up going with).

Please check off any of these items here and in the main TODO when you complete one... don't want to have too much more of a list-mess than we already do.

@Trelior: Lunaria was only expressing an opinion. I saw nothing that I could see as anything to get upset about. If you are the one running the show, you can have whatever rules you like. @Lunaria was more of asking for clarification and offering another alternative.

I doubt I would have the time, but I love the idea.. now if I could find my Pokemon games.. (For the record, I like the faster 3v3 Pokemon Battles of stadium, but with limited set of items for backup. Keeps it short, but adds some surprises. [harder to manager too])

I don't know if you've noticed or not but I've changed my default avatar for the first time since.. well 2005. (If you haven't check your cache )

I decided early on to see how well everyone would do at trying to figure out some of the details of the avatar with little information provided. So basically this could either be a challenge or something super easy for anyone.

The winner will receive 20,000 quatloos! (oh boy! yay! valueless number system)

The winner is the first one to identify the Series and Character correctly, and to identify all the changes I made to the original image. 100 bonus Quatloos per change if you also can explain what the means are for the changes and are close.

The Rules are simple. One post per member, no edits! So think it though.. post carefully. This will remain open until Weds. evening. The first post entered that has the correct answers will win! If no one has it, I'll provide the answers

Just remember it's a silly visual puzzle, have fun with it!

I used to write screensavers once. Then I switched to another monitor system that didn't do the whole "burn-in" thing. Black screens are where it's at.

My last one was in VB6, and bluescreened when I tried to multiply by Screen.TwipsPerPixelX

I doubt I would write a screensaver at this point in time, but back in the early 90's it was on my 'not-a-bucket list'.

I stopped using screensavers in Windows pretty much since After Dark was no longer a thing. I loved those classic screensavers from school.

I did (and I guess I still from time-to-time) use XScreenSaver on Unix/Linux/OSX since they have a really good set of interesting screensavers that I would actually look at. That said if I ever was to consider making one it would be for that system.

I soley Win-L/CTRL-SHIFT-EJECT on windows/mac to lock the screen. When I run X11, I use XScreenSaver but mostly to a blank screen with a "META-L" style trigger.

There was an Acmlmboard RPGmaker game but who knows what happened to that.
