About showing post edits, well, I don't think it should apply to all the posts in the thread, only the latest post and perhaps the first one too. ABXD has something similar, if the latest post in a thread is edited, the thread is marked as NEW.

I did have limits in mind but since I haven't hashed them out I never really documented them. First thread of a post is key to how I would use it. (very good for announcements as well), and latest post in thread makes sense too. I agree that not all should trigger it or we'll have a whole board of "EDT". Covering those two hits the major need for the 'EDT' flag. Also NEW should always trump 'EDT' since if it's still 'NEW' to you it doesn't matter if it was edited afterward.

I can be in another thread, but ultimately we should be using the tasks system in the git manager. https://src.nolimitzone.com/index.php/p/acmlmboard/issues/

This way it can have assigned people, categories, the whole thing.

The one thing we need to do is start using the new layout functions exclusively, and start converting the old pages to match.

Some compromise will need to be made. I will not approve a standard coding style unless all of us agree.

the dump made was using a script, it may be incorrect. Live has the proper UNIQUE in place. (of course if it didn't it would be messed up.)

I still have access to my work's hardware recycling if I want to make sure something gets destroyed for sure. (They have a guarantee, plus they magnetize the drives and grind them up nice and small. )

One thing I like about the wipedrive program is it's small enough for resident ram so you load it, take your source media out and let it sit.

This has come up during on IRC a few times, so I figure that maybe a proper discussion thread is in order!

As you may or may not know Windows 8 is going to deviate from the previous versions of Windows. They will be introducing Metro, a new interface environment entirely separate from 'classic' Windows. Microsoft is betting on this new style of interface as not only a desktop, but a tablet interface to try and get an advantage over iOS and Android.

The classic side did get some improvements by the addition of better multi monitor support and an explorer ribbon (some won't like that).. but the start menu is gone, and the functions around it are replaced with the default metro screen.

So what is everyone's thoughts on it? Do you like it? Do you hate it? What do you think they need to do to make it better?

It should be interesting to hear what people's thoughts are!
