Indeed they are lightweight and this one is that and quite flexible.
Speaking of such, you can set your expire time to 999 days. I had thoughts that 0 would set it to infinite but I think nearly 3 years is long enough. You can change the strictness of the IP. Pretty much how you can with lcookie.php except it doesn't explode in your face and is more user friendly than that script. I originally had that system on my board and you couldn't change the expire time. The default was 7 days and I had thoughts to bump it up to 14 days. My reason was so that it could clean those sessions out somewhat regularly. Even though you can set your time to 999 days, I WILL have it remove the session after 2 weeks of inactivity. My reason is it is possible to lose the session. Once lost, it will just sit there taking space. The board will also do some auto maintenance from time to time. It is just a one time query trigger that cleans what needs cleaned and possibly makes sure everything is synced. |

Playing some FF7 again. Need to remember where exactly I am in the game since it has been awhile. Hope to start recording again eventually since it has been more than 4 months since I last played. |

Yes, if you don't mind.  I was wondering if someone would get who would say that if they were mixed with someone else.
Now the world may never know. ----- Moved my last comment into this post. I am now given permission to double post in these threads so I can now feel more free to comment after the rankings. The problem with before was if I posted and no one replied, I was forced to edit in the rankings into that post. Which in my opinion is messy. Now I am able to keep rankings in their own posts. Obviously now I can post them on time easier without editing or waiting time out.
I thought this month went by quite quickly. I might try to post the next thread but we'll see. Liliana might want to do next month and I don't mind switching months, hehe. |

Since I am redoing some scripts, I thought that this could be something to bring up. First and foremost, the main concern of allowing them to be edited is the possibility for them to be abused.
Now if you are only allowed 10 or so minutes to be satisfied with your poll, at the very least, this prevents abuse and allows you to fix mistakes that might appear. Now there's another possible option. The other option is to show what changes were made or only allow minor ones to be done and always allow it to be edited by OP. Even more to the point, possibly have admins revoke poll editing if abuse is found. If moderators want to catch someone abusing a poll by being allowed to edit them, they could check a log. I plan to have poll editing and other editing being logged by a user log. I would also probably have some "NEW Edit" text or whatever show up next to the poll within 30 minutes of it being edited or whatever. So there's a few options but I would like to hear from all of you. Which option do you would prefer? To be honest, I think it should always be allowed but be revoked if found abused by a log/history showing evidence of it. At the very least allow 10 minutes or so. Maybe 15. |

Well to my knowledge, no poll editing script has ever really been made for this board.
I think the reason for its nonexistence is probably the reason why ranks.php hasn't been implemented. (Oh and 2.6 now has it implemented. )
It is just that people probably gotten too used to it being that way and it became a forgotten topic. Either way, I brought it up like this because I did hear from a few on other boards that they don't like the idea of editing it because of possible abuse. The way I see it, like all things, if they get abused, revoke it from who abuses it. And most people can notice when a poll or something changes anyways,

Darn, a tough choice...
...but due to it being Okami's best in my opinion, Okami - Ryoshima Coast wins hands over fist for my vote. And perhaps I like Okami a bit too much for its music. I just love the music direction in that game! |
