I've used Trillian (Astra/4.2) for IRC for a while now. It's good enough, and acts as a communications hub for me. So yeah. I'm sorted for IRC. The world could always use more heroes! |

The best uninstall fail ever? ATI drivers. Once you go with an ATI Graphics Card, they perma-install the drivers so you can't use any other brand of graphics card. I found that out when I bluescreened every half hour even after installing the nVidia GeForce drivers. Each time, it cited a file with ATI in the filename.
Had to reinstall everything. Not fun, when your manufacturer's drivers CD is damaged and you have to find almost every driver manually off the internet. That always took me at least half a day to do. It's made worse by the fact that the wireless card driver had to be installed first, which required installing Windows XP's SP2 from a disk while using a 640x480 resolution. I'm glad that I'm no longer on the XP machine. The world could always use more heroes! |

It depends on how the server is trying to get a result. There's multiple ways of doing it. Some just do a port scan, some will actually pull the page's content. The world could always use more heroes! |
