Well I'll be 100% honest, I really don't want anything to do with Linux. It really intimidates me. I'd rather not use Linux in any way or form.

@Marzen64: you said you didn't know where to get a Linux CD? I would just download on the net and burn it. If you want to drop me a /msg and I'll help you out.
Well yeah I assumed internet would be the best way to get it, but do I have to use torrents? The college internet blocks torrents from working, which is another reason why I'm skeptical to using em.
I've googled and searched everywhere, and all I've found is this same Ethernet drive for my computer. It's an Inspiron N5110, and apparently I need the "Dell Inspiron N5110 Notebook Realtek RTL8105E-VB LAN Driver A00". I've downloaded a few copies of this, they're all the same. They unzip the files to a location and then install the driver, but nothing shows up in the Device Manager. It DOES show up, however, in the add/remove programs list.
