I also frequent a few test environments for AB 2.6, and other project sites.

However lately I've been so busy I've not really been browsing the web as much, let alone IRC or AIM etc.

I have been going back and forth from my mom's place and my own. I've barely had any computer time of any kinda due to the holidays. I've seen the same thing on other places too.

I'm mixed on the subject. I think I would say I am more A than B.

Welp at this time one year ago DJ Bouche and I where spending our last debugging sessions on the permissions system. 12 hours from now we had almost all the staff signed up and started double checking everything. We than started mentioning the board to people we knew. on 1/2.. and than it really started.

Snow. 34˚F was the high today so we had some melting today. I hope it tapers off soon lol.

SMB2J eh? My favorite level was D-4. (on the FDS version if you don't warp you unlock the A-D worlds, but you got them automatically after 8-4 in SMAS) Why? I loved the oddball jumps you had to make to solve the puzzle. I also loved World 9, since it was a world with few enemies, odd swimming levels, and Bowser in 9-3. 9-4 basically was a swimming level that had "アリガトウ" (thank you) in used blocks.

I don't make any resolutions. I always have a running list of short-medium-long term goals in my head, but hat's just very day organization.

Plenty of times, sadly. He's known to be as unstable to even shoot his own bed with a shotgun (by accident but I could have been shot since I'm on the other side of the wall). Not the most brilliant kid on the block.

He is failing school, got kicked from his band for not chipping in, owes the family misc work he has yet to pay back for bailing him, leaving all lights on, begging people for money and even lying to get it, and he steals when he thinks everyone is too stupid to notice.


He is so close to being kicked out or sent away. I want him to become a better person but he keeps me up at night and drives the family crazy. Something's got to give!

Well he obviously needs more help than your family can provide at this point. For your own safety it might be good if he got kicked out.

From what I understand you need to hire specialists to come and exterminate them. Sometimes you even have to dispose of infested items as well, but mostly I think they are able to kill them with a gas. I've never experienced them myself but I remember all the stuff that was spoken about on the news etc.

@KP any improvements since the first post?

I've been thinking about self publishing my first book and hope for the best (I'm in the middle of the second book). Not sure how money extra cash that would bring since it will be word of mouth at first via social network, family and friends. But I need to try and it might be better in the long run instead of looking and waiting for a publisher.

My mother published three books using self publishing back in the mid 90's. I think you would have a few advantages that she didn't have. You've got a good base of friends, an active Twitter following, you've been published in a game site, as well as the communities you participate in (here, Jul, etc). With self publishing it's about getting the word out. (And getting published is a cool feeling!)

My suggestion is really to relax as much as possible so you can think. Take it day by day and explore every option you get a chance at. I don't know much about your husband but he should look for not only stuff in his field, but what I call "skill adjacent" jobs (Jobs that have elements of what you used to do. ) so you have increase the available jobs. Even if you don't find a perfect fit you can get something else later on your own time.

Overall.. don't panic! No matter how bad a situation is, just add panic and it's becomes all that much harder.
