What are some weird smileys that you have seen being used?

Here's a list, one of many out there if you need to see some.
There's much more of course and other lists too.

I sometimes used P: as "that food looks delicious" referring to the tongue to the side and I used it maybe one or two times. Are there any you use that are not too typical or unusual?


And how often do you use them and where (aka posts, IRC, other messaging)?

I'm rather famous for using the ^_~ smiley everywhere. It's kind of the Eastern equivalent of ;).

Several years ago, I would use the XD emoticon but write it as lowercase "xd". For some reason, my younger self thought it was hilarious <_< >_>

Did a lot of people lose their eyeballs at that time?

I've known a few people who just make up emoticons. Can be tough for me since I'm face-blind and learn each new emoticon as a word, rather than matching it with a facial expression.

I've gotten that before. My favorite was when a friend said "zoz" for the first time. I was what "what the fuck is a zoz".

Apparently it's an exasperated face. I guess I see it, but xpx and zoz and stuff I just see as words.

Yep. Someone had to tell me what "orz" meant. I thought it was related to the -zor/-xor ending that people used in the early 2000s.
