That makes me glad I format my drives before I give them away.
Plain formatting them is not enough.

Filling the harddrive with random data however should be enough. Plenty of tools who can do that, and in Linux you can do it easily with a quick command (the one Emuz posted earlier).

Despite that they been able to rescue data from harddrives totally broken or even underwater for weeks, apparently a single pass of random bits is enough to make the data permanently unrecoverable.

By putting off things for too long, such as taking weeks to answer a question! >_>

Ooof, I honestly forgot about Yoshi Story in general. I found it a disappointment compared to Yoshi Island anyway.

Except it wasn't, and there were so many dissimilarities between the two species that conclusion should never have been come to in the first place.
Artwork for Marill was actually made for the first game, just happened to be never implemented for whatever reason and was used in the second generation instead. The concept artwork floating around may or may not been the basis for Pikablu.

* Any method to get Mew before the glitch was discovered (including the truck, Bill's Secret Garden, ...)
Remember when I posted this mew glitch on Acmlm board and I got so much shit for it?

...and then Acmlm proved it was possible.

The NT version of Progman worked up to Win XP, then it was dummied out in one of the Win XP Service Packs.

Of course it does not stop you from taking it from a earlier Windows version like what Nicole probably did. ;)

I remember uninstalling a Win16 shell within Windows 95 we didn't use anymore, and it would bug out and set progman.exe as the default shell. We edited win.ini manually to fix that I think. Win NT have a similar setting somewhere in the registry (which is of course set to explorer.exe by default).

There is a odd tradition with the sims games, if there is a pets expansion pack there will be animation glitches involving the pets (or sims) using animations not meant for them (actually animations glitching like what Gywall showed above it's pretty much not a uncommon sight in the whole franchise). The sims 3 was no exception.

Probably was possible with horses too, but I have a feeling they fixed it by now anyway.

The latest Portal update is really fun. The "easy to use" map editor isn't as flexible as hammer, but is way way easier to use and less fiddly (a basic "connect button to this panel" setup is way more fiddly within hammer...). You can import maps into hammer for finetuning if you really want to however...

Third console generation is a good start (that is the NES). The first (Pong consoles) and second (Atari 2600) is still very basic, it was with the third generation things started to take off and games was more than "getting high score".

Amusingly we actually have returned to the score obession to a certain extent, some shooter games have points that is related to the unlock system. I love Battlefield 3, but I hated having to unlock some of the bare necessaries. I'm admittly more of a PC gamer nowadays now I play games like TF2, Dota2 and lately... Battlefield 3 (Call of duty sucks).

I never got into GTA. It just doesn't appeal, yet its (vastly superior) clone, Saint's Row looks fun as hell. I haven't played it either, though.
From how Saint's Row is advertised.. I get the opinion it's fairly focused on customisation.. Anyone played it to educate me otherwise?
Saints Row is basically a GTA that dosen't take itself more seriously, more remniscent of the early GTA games but exegerrated to the eleven. It's really fun, but it's also really silly and dumb (in a good way) too.

Some sort of Pokémon MMORPG.

It won't happen though, or if it did it would be lame and restricted. Nintendo is very paranoid about it's online interaction. I downright say that Nintendo really sucks at anything online, they improved (only needing one friendcode for 3DS is a good start I guess) but still have a far way to go. It's hard to make a safe chat system, as people figure out way around it anyway...

It's possible we see a proper "collect creatures and fight/trade other players" MMORPG though that isn't from Nintendo, but I hadn't heard of one yet.

I don't see how hard it would be to prevent the AI from being able to finish. An insurmountable wall, "Spiked-Wall Man," or a wide gap would be the end-all designs... Now designing levels around getting a stupid, and progressively dumber, AI through would be a far more interesting concept.
I can see a major improvement by that someone (the human) have to prove that the level is beatable. By beating it.

How would a Pokémon MMORPG be revolutionary?
It would be more evolutionary than revolutionary, but... so was WoW really. Plus the issue of communication discourages Nintendo going down that route (plus it's a handheld franchise, where a constant Internet connection isn't guaranteed).

I got Diablo 3. To be honest, I'm more looking forward to Torchlight 2 as Diablo 3 feels overly streamlined. I probably go through the game at least, but I can't see myself playing the game as much when Torchlight 2 is out for real.

E: Oh man, Fallout 3.

How the hell did you get up here anyway?

I jumped on top of Megaton's tallest building and ran the rim of the outer wall, that's how!
Why does he have the name of the capital city of Sweden?

His name doesn’t make sense as a name btw. Since it basically means "log isle".

Sure sign me up. I probably stream it so I can accidentally show horrible furry porn in the background show exactly how the turn went. Won't be any audio commentary sadly.

I tried all of the mentioned choices in the poll in some form. So voting would probably a bit silly for me.

Java:
This is my language of choice and is the one I tend to use as it's the one I'm the most familiar with. Fairly straightforward to use and amongst the faster programming languages (You have to go with C, C++ or Assembly if you want to go faster, no joke). The con is that the Java VM sometimes overestimates the memory needed (this is solvable) and can take a bit to start (but they improved within this area in the last few years).

C:
Been awhile since I used it (I last used it in a microcontroller) but it's fairly easy to learn syntax wise. C and C++ is the only languages I know who have header files though, slightly tricky if you aren't used thinking about them.

C++ (OOP):
Some of the syntax is a bit confusing, but I'm usually able to make simple edits and understand someone's source code in it as long they aren't naming things in cryptic ways.

Actionscript (Flash):
Should really switch this to ECMAscript to cover the whole family (which do include Javascript). I hadn't dabbled much in them, but Javascript looks easy.

PHP:
Easy to pick up, but it learns people bad habits. And it doesn’t scale well, and it's really SLOW.

ASM (any CPU, spec in reply):
6502 assembly is fun. I also programmed for the 68HC11 microcontroller, which is related to the 68000 processor family.

C#:
If you know Java, you can code C#. I only coded a bit for a few projects in School, as my preference for Java (and the fact I can make sure things are multiplatform) have made me stay with Java.

Other (please spec):
LUA, only messed with it.
Squirrel, which is probably my personal favourite out of the scripting languages i tried. If you used C/C++/Java/C# then the syntax should be familiar enough.
Delphi: My first programming language. I don't remember anything, and that's probably for the best as it's pretty much a dead language (sans legacy usage).
Pawn/Sourcepawn: Used by Sourcemod. I made a few simple plugins for the TF2 servers I run, such as a plugin that changes to alltalk during the end of round mode (humilation). Sourcepawn itself is pretty dumb though, and the creator of Sourcemod have admitted it was a bad choice due to it's odd quirks.

I'm also highly considering learning Java.

That's a good idea, even if you don't stick with Java it would make it easier to learn the other C-family languages (C/C++/C#)

That page is making me consider ASP.Net.

And that's kind of a terrible idea to me.
Well, there are other choices too, like Python or Perl...
Been thinking of looking into java server pages (jsp) since I'm at least familiar with Java and I heard good things about it.

It's a bit easy to stick with PHP though as nearly every webserver have it installed.

I like to imagine the unspecified gender being hermaphrodite.

I liek purple which is why I'm "female". No other reason really.

The newest simcity which looks really cool even if I'm vary about the DRM. More worried about if the game is still available in ten years than the online requirement really.

I can see myself buying Pikmin 3, assuming it's a launch title. If it isn't... well I might wait. It's funny how much flack Nintendoland have gotten though, cause it's obviously a minigame collection for users to get used to the control scheme, similar to the wii sports for Wii.

I think freeform is best, that it's up to the author how to sum their year up.

As long it's verbose and actually covers the events.

I found this on the first page of a Google image search with the only search term being "furry."
I dunno about you, but that's a nonsexual tasteful level of nudity IMO, PG at most. Then again, nudity itself I never considered bad.

I admit I find it funny when you try to look up cute pictures of red panda and get porn due to your furry friends on Google+. Ah google's search algorithm...

Dayz is pretty fun, despite being fun of mostly annoying bugs. A few are hilarious like the above one though.
