Well, there's a few subtractions to go with the additions. The ice flower, penguin suit and propeller mushroom powerups (from what I've seen, there was a roulette block in the underwater level, and it didn't have them), and the spin jump/spin attack have been removed.
I got kinda into it a few times, and forgot I was on the handheld instead of the Wii and kept shaking my 3DS to try to get an extended jump, only to have Mario do nothing but soar half-assedly through the air like he had been. Oh, in 1-Fort the second star coin is in the hidden room with the P-switch, you have to climb the snake blocks to the top before the switch runs out to get it, or else it disappears. It kinda annoyed me because it has a gimmick trap of blue, P-switch coins to act as a distraction, and the vertical screen scroll isn't immediately apparent. |

Actually, KP, the 3DS browser is really nice as far as game console browsers go.
Remember last year when I was posting from my DSi? That was shitty. I'm not saying I would prefer to browse from my 3DS, but I like it better than the DSi. |

OH MY GOD THIS IS THE GREATEST GAME I'VE EVER PLAYED IN MY LIFE! Doo-doo-do-do-do-DO! SPOILERS! /Chester A. Bum
In my run of NSMB2, I'm to World 2 and World Mushroom since there's a split path. I like how the splits are handled this time around, assuming the World 4/Special World split in World 3 is handled the same way. The cannon is an auto-scroll, auto-run stage that requires good timing on jumps. I actually found the secret exit of the fort by complete fluke. Curiousity proved to be non-lethal to this kitteh. The room with the skeletal Goomba generator. Although a few other attempts to find the second star coin resulted in more than a few deaths. |

My schedule is typically Wednesday to Saturday midnight to seven or eight (which is actually Thursday to Sunday if you apply the logic of midnight makes it the next day) with Tuesday afternoon, anywhere from the range of three to five to midnight. (TA's week starts on Wednesday, since payroll is Tuesdays)
My new schedule (as of this week and last week) is all midnight to X, Sunday to Thursday. Conveniently, giving me the weekends off. |

Posted by LilianaI find that to be hilarious since that happens to be the back sprite of a female Pikachu. You can tell by the shape of the tail. |

Oh man... I did not get any sleep yesterday. I was up all day, waiting for Curt to take me home since power got turned back on. He didn't. I finally decided to lay down to go to bed when he left to take his girlfriend to Punxsy for her to go to work.
I was just about asleep when he and Bill, our other friend we were hanging out with, came back. Bill had bought a PSP, and wanted me to hack it... A process that took me hours to do for both my Slim and the Fat that Curt now owns. Luckily for me, I stumbled across an infinitely easier method for installing custom firmware. Apparently, you can install CFW 6.xx Pro from the equivalent official firmware without an exploit... Gud jarb thar, Sony. So, I installed my 6.60 Pro-B2 to Bill's PSP within minutes, but he had bought a few UMDs, one of which I was curious to play, so I took two hours to rip and shrink to .iso format. The game was God of War: Chains of Olympus. I've never understood the hype to the series, but I figured if it was in easy grasp, I might as well snag it while my memory stick still has space. Since Bill forgot to buy a memory stick when he was at Gamestop, I talked him into buying my old 8GB stick I used before getting the 32. I got 25 bucks for it, which isn't bad. What was bad, was I had to run home to get the fucking thing. So, Curt and I took my stuff home and I grabbed the memory stick. So, yeah, I didn't get to sleep until eight-ish, which only gave me about two hours of sleep. I'm tired and in a foul mood because of it. I can't wait until I get home so I can sleep. |

My run of NSMB2 is kinda slow going. Between wanting to play other games, being busy with work, and being exhausted after getting home, I'm not getting much of anything accomplished.
I'm in World 3, spelunking for missed star coins and trying to find secret exits. I'm missing stuff in Worlds 2, 3, and Mushroom and it's driving me nuts. I want to find them on my own since lately, I've been relying on walkthroughs far too much. As for other games I've been dinking around in... I'm on stage four of Mighty Switch Force, painstakingly trying to meet the par time for each stage. Mainly because the game is so damn short (sixteen levels is tiny for a game I spent six bucks on). Planet Crashers is another. I find the humor of the game to be quirkily charming, but the gameplay is a bit clunky and hard to handle. Dunno if it was worth ten bux... Phantom Thief Stina doesn't seem too bad, but I can't seem to play it for very long. Probably because the first (and only) time I started it up, I had the 3D on full and I hold my 3DS in a way that makes the 3D headache-inducingly disorienting. I have since discovered my comfortable 3D setting for gameplay to be around 30% depth. Finally (last for the 3DS) is Find Mii. I like the concept of it, but I don't really care for it because of the play coin daily gain limit. Hiring heroes never gets me anyone I can use, which is a waste. As for the play coin gain... Ten coins a day for a hundred steps each? Fuck that! Come on, Nintendo, if you want to encourage carrying the gmmick-of-the-week with your consumers, give them better perks. I feel that all they're doing is giving the Mii Plaza games fake longevity. In Secret of Mana, I just got Luna's magic and her seed's power. I also just was told to go to the Tree Palace and get Dryad. My characters are in the mid-40s in level. My weapon skills are all either at 0 or 4, with my primaries being at 5. The girl's magic is all at maxed a 7, and it only took an hour or so to get it there, even with Wisp's insane cast costs. The sprite's magic is trailing since I don't have the patience to chase monsters around to cast on them (I can never get the timing for chain casting). Telling my party to stay back and guard doesn't help, either, they still run up and slice my target. @Ryudo: use Sprite's grandfather in the Wind Palace for effectively infinite mana, and you get full exp for weapons being drawn in the palace. |

Had to restart Secret of Mana this morning, because the glitch to get the eighth sword orb fucked up and corrupted my save file.
I'm on my way back through the Mysterious Forest to fight Elinee. I made it all the way into the castle before Zarik (my hero) died, and I had to backtrack to Kippo to use the inn. Since I had deliberately raised Laera (the girl) to be a point or two above Zarik on exp, I figured I would try to get Onaro (the sprite) up to scuff... It's gonna take a while since he's about 700 exp behind. |

Posted by TKBThere are twelve, maybe thirteen, of them. I dunno what #326 is. One for just about every version that gave it a different sprite.
I'm kinda disappointed that the Emerald sprite isn't among them, yet a spinoff is. |

Posted by GywallAssuming sprite#326 is, in fact, Green Version Pikachu... Aside from male/female for all three instances of Gen IV and the other Gen IV sprite, and the backsprites... You have them all, save for Emerald.Posted by TreliorI seem to have missed that one.. Oops! EDIT: I forgot about shinies... If you add them, I will throw something heavy at you. |

My PSP fucking bricked itself. Not what I wanted to find today, but whatever.
I know how to fix it, but I have one ever so slight problem... I need another PSP. I need it to modify my battery into a Pandora and set up one of my memory cards for use as a recovery card. Good thing that both Curt and Bill have PSPs. |

Mario, by far.
Grew up a Nintendo kid, and absolutely wrecked shit on the SNES on Allstars with my brother. I had an N64, but I could never get into SM64 as a kid, but now I can 100% it in an afternoon effortlessly. I never had a Gamecube, but I do have a few Mario games for it (either physical disc or iso) that I can play on my Wii. Same goes for several of the Wii titles. I think it's kinda funny how Nintendo is kinda giving Sega, specifically Tails, a shoutout with 3D Land and NSMB2 with Luigi's fox version of the Raccoon Suit. |
