That's a fine request. I've already made the change. I can't say it will help bring our members to play but it might help if you get some newer members to show up. It at least will declare it's purpose rather than just be something random. (BTW: Trel you could have had it renamed at any point.. feel free to ask next time. It was only a temp name anyway.)

You may need to directly link the images. Discord and this board only has them work for the first 24 hours than they break. You can still go 'view image' and it'll show up. (or I can stick them somewhere for ya too! )

There is a middle ground. There is a discord client called ripcord that runs about as thin as IRC. It's an option for those who would like to run discord but don't want to run an HTML5 fueled client.

IRC isn't going anywhere.. Discord and IRC are bridged so at the very least you can always choose which works for you best and talk together.

I think this is a good option to look into. I'm used to fuzzy searching by name order.. but I guess that's due to my old school ways. It could be nice to have as a QoL thing.

A thought in mind.. we're getting more css all the time to replace legacy code-based solutions with browser-based ones..

Maybe it's time to see what would be needed for mobile support?

We are getting close to that point. We'll never be responsive or any of that stuff but there are things in css we can leverage for dynamic rendering for mobile. We may need to look at tweaking a few things layout wise.. and of course code wise. I too wonder how feasible it would be (without breaking it for normal browser users)..

we could use a thumbnail [imgs] tag...
what it does is restricting the size of the linked image as well as putting it in a link tag to the same URL.

If someone wants to add this I won't object. As Epele said we do have safeguards in place on the normal img bbcode.. but it doesn't create a thumbnail size or 'click to enlarge'. I end up doing that manually for my posts as I rarely use bbcode. Could be useful for sure!
