Anyway, this one is lighter and more clean, I think I'll stick with this one for a bit too.

Also, making good use of dynamic colour changes and UID via a call as per usual :P

Last view: 7 days 		As of late, I have noticed so many sites 403ing me and/or making life hell due to me having adblock enabled.

After giving up and just disabling it, I have been horrified to see what the internet has become since the first time I used adblock.

Trying to watch anime from a site I always stream from -- I encountered 12 of the same screen blocking ads across a 22 minute episode, and all the ads were the same ad!! > ^<

All the download sites cause RAM buffer issues on this netbook I'm stuck with due to at least 5 popunder windows with flash ads loading all at once. and this has even as far as caused a BSoD IIRC.

Download sites are just plain no-go, those just cause unresponsive script errors followed by crashes and RAM limit errors.

So yeah, this is a rant I had to vent SOMEWHERE because I'ts one of the most annoying things ever.

This thread can vary from serious to silly. There's often a lot of references thrown about at times.


Kinda think this is a sign I'm spending too little time on the internet doing anything but playing crappy games to no end.

I haven't seen too much of an issue for having adblock enabled... the occasional site doesn't work (Twitter was telling me to advertise there and I was amused by it, but when I clicked their link it told me I had to disable adblock so I didn't bother) but nothing I'd consider essential...

Not surprised about the streaming sites- that's the whole business model. But yeah, the internet has really become a lot less usable...


The biggest bummer is that I used to just stream my anime due to HDD limitations, but that's kinda hard without going to options... addons... etc.

And anyway, do they think by forcing you to view said ads that you would actually click them to help fund a site forcing you into things? I think not.

I don't use Adblock, but Flashblock instead. I've only had an occasional site with a required and hidden flash element fail due to no way to enable it.

I think Adblock has become far too well known now. :x


Well, I will make note to try that later, and yeah, I agree.

I'd like to know how these people are detecting it too.

Yup. We have passed a million views. Since we improved the bot filtering a bit it makes it a slower process. (current bot views are 1,003,791)

Well, my air bed has developed a big ol' leak after less than a month. It's hard to sleep when my body hits the floor every hour and a half.

I should be getting my real bed moved here soon though.

I've always found air beds really hard to sleep on regardless... it seems like they have to be pretty rigid, or maybe all the ones I've used have just been overinflated :P


I used to sleep on one when I first got my apartment. It sucked. I never found one they wouldn't screw up my back. Hopefully you get your bed soon @Taryn :)


To be fair, if anything I expected it to be a golden F5 key xD

Well, all the gameplay graphics and sprites can be skinned to your liking via PNGs (with a second masking PNG), so really you can have any character you want.

Also, probably a bit unlikely as of yet, but I wouldn't mind a working on a Kafuka SMBX game with y'all.


I played with SMBX before it vanished. I think it's a nice platform to work with. I think all I got around to doing was predictablity trying to get the firebro to replace of the enemies. Lol. DJ Bouche actually turned be on to this program.

I know.. been a long time but I would be interested in working on such a thing if anyone else still is?


Despite the last reply to this being from the good 'ol days (last post: Jan. 5) I would still like to do something like that, and hey, even if it's sort of a slowish progress thing at first, it would still be alright none the less as long as people like me have free time to spare.
Gives me something to do in my times of boredom of which I'd spend playing games I don't even like :P

Finally cashed my first paycheck today.

It's amazing. I pretty much spent it all today, too.

It was roughly $300. I paid my mom back for paying for my dentist appointment, re-upped my phone service, sent the money I owed the state, put some money in my savings account, got lunch, and bought a few things on PSN (Worms: Armageddon GOTY, Might & Magic: Clash of the Heroes, the M&M: CotH character pack, and renewed my Playstation Plus membership).

I have $15 left over. Gotta make it stretch until the 19th. :X


You're lucky, I have to live on £50 til the 30th. :U

I like your layout on Jul so much more than this one. Why do you have different layouts for the two boards anyway?
Funny you should say that, I'm actually porting it over as we speak!

And yeah, it's because Jul has a different layout of which I need to code to, and using the same here and there means I have to convert it.
